Ven. Kolonnawe Sri Sumangala Thera, Mahanayake of Siri Sumana Chapter of Sri Lanka Amarapura Nikaya, places the casket with sacred relics on the tusker ‘Migara’ before the street parading of Perahera on Saturday. Ven. Sri Sumangala Thera is the founder of Devram Vehera Temple in Pannipitiya. The Perahera was conducted for the 13th time showcasing dancing features of upcountry, low country and Sabaragamuwa. A number of elephants including tuskers featured in the religious pageant.
