Nearly 500 tri-forces personnel and their close contacts were among those tested positive for Covid-19 in the country.
According to the Epidemiology unit of the Health Ministry, a total of 454 naval personnel, 34 of their close contacts and 11 other members of the Army and police were among 889 Covid-19 patients reported in Sri Lanka.
The Department said 216 patients were undergoing medical treatment at the Navy Hospital while others were at another six hospitals across the country.
Meanwhile, the Navy said a total of 62 naval personnel have been recovered and discharged from hospitals as of yesterday.
Further, these discharged naval personnel were directed to be kept under quarantine for another 14 days following health instructions, the Navy said.

Well, that means 390 are General COVID19 cases. Not bad for a country like ours. Tragic indeed, that it triggered among the forces, who have done a magnificent job along with the Health Services. Im sure they would recover fast

But the statistics issued by the health ministry does not mention so much patients.
