The Director General of Health Services has revised the COVID-19 death toll in the country as two deaths have been repeatedly counted when releasing the death toll report yesterday (02).
In a statement, the Government Information Department said the two deaths that were counted on Monday had been added to the death toll on Tuesday as well.
Accordingly, the toll which was reported as 330 has to be revised as 328.
However, the toll climbed to 332 today with four more deaths being reported.
A 89-year-old female from Walgammulla, a 67-year-old female from Dewalapola, a 66-year-old male from Negombo and a 70-year-old female from Yatiyanthota are among the deceased today.
