A married couple was killed and three others including two children were injured after the car they were traveling in crashed into a lamp post opposite the Yakkala fair on the Yakkala-Kiridiwela Road last night, Police said.
They said the deceased aged 43 and 40 were identified as residents of Kinigama, Yakkala.
The two children aged 13 and 20 were admitted to the Gampaha Hospital while the driver of the car was transferred to the National Hospital, Colombo. (Thilakaratne Dissanayake)
