Sun directly over Sri Lanka till Sept. 7

The Meteorology Department today said the Sun is going to be directly over the latitudes of Sri Lanka from August 28 to September 7 of this year.
They said the sun was going to be directly over Sri Lanka on the apparent southward relative motion of it.
"The nearest areas of Sri Lanka over which the sun is overhead today (28) are Sangupiddy and Palali in Jaffna at about 12:11 noon," the department said. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
