Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) has asked for a caretaker government to be formed to address the current issues, and said it would quit the ruling side otherwise .
Party stalwart State Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara told Daily Mirror the party discussed the matter at its Central Committee meeting .
He said it would quit portfolios and act independent of the government unless a caretaker government was formed for an interim period to find solutions to the current issues (Kelum Bandara)
