Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) has removed State Minister Dr. Suren Raghavan from the post of Assistant Secretary of SLFP, Leader of Wanni district and Secretary of International Relations, the party announced today.
Despite the SLFP Parliamentary group decision not to accept any ministerial portfolios and sit as an independent group in Parliament, MP Raghavan was sworn-in as a State Minister.
In a letter to MP Raghavan, SLFP Secretary MP Dayasiri Jayasekera also stated that the SLFP decided to initiate disciplinary action against MP Raghavan.

If any non government Member of Parliament hoping to give up politics, its the ideal time now. If such a MP crossover to government, he or she could get $2 million plus state ministerial post

Money talks. All they want is to fill their pockets not worried about the public. Every cent is essential in this country so put all that bribery money into the treasury instead of bribing politicians to cross over

You remove but govt is prepared to buy anyone from the opposition parties at any cost. Govt has no money to provide the basic needs but they have enough money to buy any number of MPS. There will be an end to all these cruel actions very soon.
