Pfizer, the vaccine manufacturing giant of the United States, will dispatch 25,000 doses of its vaccines to Sri Lanka before July 10 to initiate mass inoculation with it as a trial, a Minister said.
Pfizer is expected to deliver 300,000 doses altogether next month. State Minister of production, Supply and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals Prof. Channa Jayasumana told Daily Mirror the initial stock would be used for a test run of vaccination with Pfizer. “It is a vaccine with a different cold chain requirement,” he said.(Kelum Bandara)
