SriLanka has condemned the hijacking of the UAE flag cargo ship by Houthis off the Western Yemen City of Hodeidah on Sunday (2).
Sri Lankan Foreign Ministry tweeted that Sri Lanka remained fully committed to the Right of Innocent Passage in accordance with International Law.
The Yemeni militias kidnapped the ship on January 2, with 11 crew members from five countries on board, including seven from India and the others from Ethiopia, Indonesia, Myanmar, and the Philippines.
