The reports of the gas samples which were sent to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) to test for composition of the domestic gas cylinders is due at 5 pm today, State Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna said today.
He told Parliament that samples of the Litro and Laugfs gas companies were sent to the CPC to check for the composition after several incidents of explosions were reported in different parts of the country.
Responding to a question raised by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa,the Minister said he had summoned all the relevant state institutions at 5 pm today to discuss the reports and take necessary action.
He said he would present a detailed report in the House on Monday.(Ajith Siriwardana and Yohan Perera)
