Power interruptions will be experienced around the country due inadequate supply of diesel by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) to the Kelanitissa Power Station, Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) Additional General Manager and media spokesman Andrew Navamani said.
He said the CEB still has 300 MW of power on the national grid following the repair of one of the third 300 MW coal powerplants at Norochcholai.
If CPC will not provide the required diesel in due time, we will not be able to continue the power supply.
Therefore, several spells of power cuts would be experienced across the country, Mr. Navamani said. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)

Why not sell the CEB to India or China and they will provide a better service. If they can sell part of the Yogadani power station to a Company in USA then they can sell the CEB also to an Indian or a Chinese Company and they will run the show better.
