The Prime Minister's Office today refuted reports that SLPP member Shiraz Yoonus held any post or designation at the Prime Minister's office and added all statements released by Yoonus did not represent the views of the government or the Prime Minister.
Issuing a statement, the Prime Minister’s Office refuted reports that claimed that Yoonus was serving as the Muslim Religious Affairs Coordinator at the office.
"Mr. Yoonus has not been offered any post in the Prime Minister's Office. His statements are completely personal and do not endorse the government’s political stance," the statement said.
