The Examinations Department said today the results of the 2018 GCE O/L examination would be released on Thursday (28).
Commissioner Sanath Pujitha said the results could be viewed on or downloaded from its website: http://www.doenets.lk.
"According to a concept of Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam, the dates have been fixed so that the students can have a clear idea about their future education plans. The dates are as follows: the GCE O/L results will be released on March 28; Grade-5 scholarship results on October 5 and GCE A/L results on December 27," Mr. Pujitha said.
He said 656641 candidates had sat the GCE O/L examination -- 422,850 of them were school candidates while 233,791 were private candidates.
The examination was held from December 3 to 12 last year at 4,661 examination centres countrywide. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
