Nothing will happen as long as the army is backing up this government. Just look at the Arabic Spring. This change could only happen with the support of the army. In which sewer is Shavendra hiding anyway?

Ordinary people have no idea what really went on last night. Govt says one thing and the opposition parties say another. If all are playing games what can we do?

This is a show off ...what he has done so far for people . People are suffering and get he didn't do anything about it .. Either advised government to go for IMF or come up with a solution ...he and his brothers have been borrowing and borrowing ..How long they will keep doing this ? Do they want sell out this country ? Do they want to find solutions to this crisis or stay idle doing nothing . Poverty is very dangerous and it could harm every section of our society .. So they should know this and taken actions to prevent violence . No point in blaming public for this. They are asking their due right

Shell them, use multi barbell and in they don’t disperse use Mic helicopters and Kfir bombers. Recall Fonseka to sort them out, like how you managed the Lankans in the North and East!

Time is ripe to MR and Namal to get the same medicine. The country will only prosper if at all after this family is kicked out. Thank you for the protestors who risked their lives and protested on behalf of the people (excluding the 6.9 Mn )

This situation isn't the Rajapaksas creation. This is the result of racist policies pushed by the Sinhala majority. Sinhala people need to become more aware of the modern world. The Sri Lankan economy was sold to China to defeat the LTTE. You can't oppress your own minorities and expect to live peacefully. Elect leaders that push progress, not division and corruption. This responsibility is more on the Sinhala community due to their voter numbers. Please stop destroying this country and learn to exist peacefully and embrace progress for all.

People are very powerful. They put people in power. They can also take them out of power. THAT IN ESSENCE IS DEMOCRACY. Now the people are speaking, Loud and CLEAR THAT THEY HAVE NO CONFIDENCE IN THE GOVERNING PEOPLE AND THEY MUST GO. Let this be done without blood shed and if any money depleted by the ruling class be brought back to the cash stripped country for the benefit of the suffering masses
