The Inter-University Student Federation (IUSF) launched a protest march in Colombo a short while ago urging the government to release the arrested Aragalaya activists who were arrested.
They are marching towards Colombo Fort from the Lipton Circus.

It would be news if they don't protest.

Prez should intervene and ask the Police nd release all of them. Once they are out, Prez should meet the leaders of the Aragalaya and try to make them understand that their request for the system change and other matters will be handled once the Dollar shortage and country's economy brought to a stable condition. Besides, he should ask the PM and other leaders of SLPP to refrain from attacking the aragalaya since all of them should concentrate to revive the economy.

After දේශප්රේමී Gota vanished, remainder of the gang trying to form a Govt. with දේශද්රෝහි Ranil. People must not let this happen. If this Govt. cannot reduce oil prices when world market price goes down, country needs national elections right now. The constitution has been breached already and it is not necessary at all to stick to it now, because it is very clear that burning issues can't be solved with this bunch of thieves now, as it is or shuffled or creating a so called National one.

B'gaya it seems people are quite happy to have received fuel well below cost for an extended period of time, but when the fuel price is not lowered promptly they love to whine. The 'profit', if any, from not lowering prices immediately is a mere fraction of the under pricing enjoyed by so many for so long . So let's get real!

Stop free education and start charging from these uni students! These protests will all end. Then next step will be that most of these students would end up doing all types of illegal things. Then arrest them and keep them in jail. Either way taxpayers would be maintaining their lives.

These protesters want the freedom to violate the law. Then they talk of accountability. Shouldn't they also be accountable for their acts?
