Public officials expressing opinions and views on social media without following the provisions under the Establishments Code will be subject to disciplinary action, according to a fresh circular issued by the state.
The circular issued on Tuesday by the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, states that public officials who express opinions on social media without following the provisions of Sections 6 and 7, Chapter XLVII, Volume Il of the Establishments Code shall constitute an offence leading to disciplinary action.
Furthermore, state sector officers who are not entitled to the exercise of political rights, but are found to have expressed political views will also be subject to disciplinary action, the circular said.

I had no idea some state sector officers are not entitled to exercise political right. State paid persons including office workers and military are all paid for by printed money. Which when they spend the earning worsens things for the rest of us with inflation. Such immorality in our country.

When a Govt employee leaves office it's his or her personal time and has all the right to participate in social media as it's covered under Freedom of Expression.
