Part 1/2... If I am not mistaken, this scarcity was warned earlier by the pharmacists or importers of drug or someone like that. Anyway…Good for GMOA! GMOA decides to break their silence? Why now? Did GR file for a legal separation or did he file for a divorce with the GMOA? Top members of the GMOA (including GMOF, some surgeons, specialists and government medical officers in general) are a bunch of ungrateful, opportunistic, attention seeking, wanna-be-politician, hypocritical individuals. They also love to highlight the issue rather than a possible solution in both medical and non-medical issues. Before their love affair with Gota, when it came to their benefits, transfers, salary issues, promotion, etc, they were protesting. MCC, ECTA, ctc and any instance where the government (not GR government) was allegedly selling parts of Sri Lanka, they were protesting. Suwa seriya (which played a major role during Covid) issue were exaggerated.

Part 2/2... But, when it came to the current government selling parts of Sri Lanka, when people were dying in queues due to lack of essentials and even when the government was breaking their own 60 rule for the Covid vaccines, they were late for a response. Also, when one of their own, Dr. Shaafi was dragged through the mud in a baseless manner, they were silent (allegedly, Dr. Shaafi was the same doctor who attended to the wife of the head of GMOA). Most importantly, GMOA is one party who was allegedly responsible for promoting the government propaganda of organic fertilizer, resulting in the chaotic outcome in the agriculture sector and the protests of the farmers in Sri Lanka. My question, can anyone tell me who will protest against the hypocrisy and the hierarchy of the GMOA? Anyway, good that they are protesting. Better late than never. Just like most of the doctors, their focus (protests) is the symptom, not the cause.
