The Colombo High Court today served indictments on civil activist, Shehan Malaka Gamage in respect of a statement he had made on the Easter Sunday bomb attacks.
Meanwhile, Shehan Malaka was ordered to be released on a cash bail of Rs.50,000 with two sureties of Rs.500,000 each after he appeared before Colombo High Court Judge Amal Ranaraja.
The Attorney General filed indictments against the civil activist under Penal Code offences for allegedly exciting or attempting to excite feelings of disaffection to the State.
The prosecution alleged that the accused had committed this offence during a press conference held at Maradana on August 17, 2021. The case is to be taken up for trial on January 13 next year. (Lakmal Sooriyagoda)

Harassment of critics go on unabated under RW. They took one year to see the alleged gravity of what he said

"...for allegedly exciting or attempting to excite feelings of disaffection to the State.." What is criminal about it? But it seems like this cock sucking shit bunch of Ranil finds it far more criminal than patronizing the killers in his government.

Oh dear August last year 2021 case indicted in Sept 2022 and Trial January 2023. UNHCR must donate a fully integrated Court Automated System and a KPi system for the Sri Lankan courts and its officials. What a waste of time and loss of productivity for a troubled nation!

Everything is requested as a donation from 1948, but nothing seems to be happening; No progress?? Still begging?? We need attitude change and morality, w/o which, no automation will work> Lankans would work around to reduce automation to NIL!! First is mentality and attitude towards societal well being, which is absent!!??`

Chasing behind informants but not the culprits. What a state of justice.

As Lee Kuan Yew once said, the judiciary and the police that are corrupt will bring down the whole country by aiding and abetting the government criminals acting with impunity as RW and his clan are acting currently.
