China has offered a batch of Covid-19 vaccines in response to the request by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and the donation will take place once Sri Lanka completes the preliminary requirements, Sri Lankan Ambassador to Beijing Dr. Palitha Kohona said.
Dr. Kohona told the Daily Mirror that the quantities needed to be negotiated.
“The important thing is that following representations and HE’S letter (the president’s letter), China has offered a batch of Covid-19 vaccines,” he said.
