The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) today urged the government to introduce a national action plan to rescue the country and the people from the COVID19 virus considering it a national concern.
It said in a statement that everyone irrespective of party differences should support such an action plan and that the JVP was committed to support in that respect.
The JVP requested the people to adhere to precautionary warnings issued by the health ministry in a move to prevent from the disease and requested them not to create unnecessary panics.
They also requested people to support actions taken by the health ministry to control the spread of the disease.
