Another one and half month will be consumed to overcome the current gas shortage situation in the country, the LITRO Gas Lanka said.
They stated the company is contemplating to release 30,000 domestic gas cylinders per day to meet the demand.
The company said they are still unable to unload the gas from the freighter due to adverse weather conditions.
However, it is reported that another gas shipment is due from Oman today.
Meanwhile, the company advises people to avoid standing in queues as the distribution of gas would be delayed. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)

Govt should help Laugfs Gas also to get dollars at even higher rates and start supplying to the market. this way availability across will be greater until the demand stabilizes.
