Following the lifting of travel restrictions, eleven deaths have been reported in fatal road accidents in various parts of the country within a period of the last 24 hours, police said.
Police Spokesman SDIG Ajith Rohana said six motorcyclists, two cyclists, two pedestrians and a helper of a lorry were among the dead.
He said everyone should take precautionary measure to avoid road traffic mishaps.

Far toomany idiots are on the road basic knowledge road rules and driver safety zero..very poor even you indicate to turn left or right bikes tree wheelers trying to overtake speeding is a nother problem then moble phones usses . When you make easy to get licence to drive with no driver education when there no system everything fails with a system you can work towards procedures to work well and save lives....hope someone take proper action to minimize accidents injures even death
