Upcountry Lions thump Defenders 2-0

Upcountry Lions FC defeated Defenders FC 2-0 in their innaugural semi professional Super League Football Tournament 14th match at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo today. 

The winners took the lead in the 27th minute of the game courtesy of an own goal scored by the Defenders Captain Jesuraj Bernard. 

After the turnaround, Upcountry Lions FC sealed the game in their favour by scoring their second goal in the 86th minute of play through Khalid Asmil.
