Around 3,500 Chinese nationals have registered to receive China’s Sinopharm vaccine after the inoculation of Chinese nationals was initiated by the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) yesterday at the Colombo Port City.
CMC Regional Epidemiologist Dr. Dinuka Guruge said they hope to inoculate all the Chinese nationals within three days.
She said that around 1,000 Chinese nationals were schedules to be vaccinated yesterday.
She said the remaining Chinese nationals would be inoculated by this week.
A stock of 600,000 Sinopharm vaccines gifted by China arrived in Sri Lanka on March 31.
