Some 340,508 children will sit for the 2021 Grade Five scholarship examination, and 345,242 candidates scheduled to face the GCE Advanced Level (A/L) examinations. The Grade five exams will be held on January 22 at 2,943 examination centres across the country, the Education Ministry said.
The Ministry said 255,062 applicants will sit for the examination in the Sinhala medium and 85,446 in the Tamil medium.
The 2021 GCE A/L examination will be held from February 7 to March 5 at 2,438 examination centres around the country. There are 279,141 school candidates and 66,101 private candidates to sit for the examination.
