Continuous failure to uncover as to who facilitated and used Zaharan to carry out Easter Sunday attacks will be a continuous threat to Sri Lanka’s security, an SJB senior said yesterday.
SJB CEO Ajith P. Perera told a press conference that failure to uncover those who facilitated the Easter Sunday attack will be a threat to Sri Lanka’s security as more attacks of such nature could take place if these forces are not uncovered and penalised.
“One feels that some of those who used the Easter Sunday attacks to come to power may have been the facilitators. Therefore, there is a danger of more such attacks in the future. This situation will give rise to more security threats in the future. Therefore, it is essential to uncover and reveal as to who facilitated and supported Zaharan to carry out the attack.
If a Sri Lanka politician or politicians facilitated Zaharan they should be uncovered and penalised. If another country was behind it that should also be uncovered without delay.
