The Chinese authorities have offered to assist Sri Lanka for the establishment of sales galleries in three provinces - Yunnan, Sichuan and Beijing - to showcase export products, an official said.
The authorities of these provinces in China have informed Sri Lankan envoy in Beijing Dr. Palitha Kohona about it.
The cost of running these sales galleries will be borne by the respective provincial authorities of China.
Dr. Kohona said this would be a great opportunity for Sri Lanka to access the Chinese market for its products.
The two countries are in contact with each other for the resumption of negotiations on a Free Trade Agreement.
