Ruwanthika Dilini, a Sri Lankan employee of Galfar Engineering & Contracting SAOG in Oman, had given birth to triplets following a critical surgery at Khoula Hospital in Muscat amidst COVID-19 challenges.
The Sri Lankan Embassy in Muscat extended its best wishes to the mother of the new-born triplets.
It was reported that the mother was unable to travel to Sri Lanka for the delivery due to the lockdown and closure of airports in the aftermath of COVID-19 outbreak.
“Ambassador Ajwad extended his sincere appreciation to Dr. Mazin Al Khabouri Director General of the Ministry of Health as well as to Dar Al-Atta Charitable Association of Oman for their kind and generous humanitarian gesture towards this distressed pregnant migrant worker.
