Water cuts in Colombo and suburbs today

• 10-hour water cut on Saturday from 8.00 p.m to Sunday 6.00 a.m

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) announced a 10-hour water cut on Saturday from 8.00 p.m to Sunday 6.00 a.m. in Colombo 13, 14 and 15 and a 16-hour water cut on Saturday from 2.00 p.m. to Sunday 6.00 a.m. within the Kolonnawa and Kotte Municipal Council limits.   

The water cut has been imposed to carry out improvement work to the distribution pipeline under Greater Colombo Water Supply Improvement Project. 

In addition, the water supply to Colombo 11 and 12 will be at a low pressure.   
Meanwhile, the areas coming under the 16-hour cut are the Kolonnawa Municipal Council area, Rajagiriya, Moragasmulla, Obesekerapura, Bandaranayakapura, Nawala, Koswatta and the main road from Rajagiriya up to Nawala Open University.   

“We regret the inconvenience caused,” the NWSDB said.
