Customs seized a stock of cigarettes worth around Rs.30 million. They were imported from Dubai in eight large wooden boxes and stored at the Peliyagoda Customs warehouse. The carcasses of some 300 cows, which were alleged to have been slaughtered without permits had been brought to a Dematagoda butchery today.
