The government is planning to open the first ever botanical garden in a dry zone in Mirijjawila, Ambalanthota at the end of this year. Minister of Botanical Gardens and Public Recreation Jayarathne Herath today visited the place to inspect the progress of construction . This will be the fourth botanical garden in Sri Lanka.
