A tense situation reported following the Kandy-Navy rugby encounter held in Nittawela this evening which ended in favour of Kandy SC winning 25-20. Security in the area has been tightened due to the tense situation. Pix by Indraratne Balasuriya

well done kandy, we will always be behind you whether you win or lose. be sportsman as always do, navy need to improve there discipline, i doubted when they were in civil, good game never before and expect no such issues in future.

i witnessed the incident fully, its shame how some of the fans behaved; lack in in spirit of sport was obviously shown; its shame on Kandy SC. these unruly fans threw bottles at VIPs and insulted continuously. bad for the sport; REGRET
