Sri Lanka was seen struggling as they were restricted to 217 for nine in 50 overs by the Visiting India in the third One Day international (ODI) held in Pallekele International Stadium. Pix by Damith Wickramasinghe

This is a match Sri Lanka could have put on a better show. Our players hardly ran between wickets and when every opportunity was there to run two our lethargic players ran one in comparison to their Indian opponents. Mathews performance at the match was dismal to say the least. 12 balls - 1 run?!!!!!

Irresponsible batting of Angelo Mathews paved the way to a batting collapse. You are not an expert in reverse Sweep and use your orthodox shots for god sake...

being defeated is not an issue...... but being embarrassed at your home front is a big issue..... nothing is right..... the only sports which brings some respect and recognition to the country is now been discarded and left to rot!!!! writing a review is like talking to a wall!!!!
