Initially, I thought it was a shanty town.

    Looks like a huge flop.

Really? A five star hotel? So who’s that ‘private’ owner?

Looks attractive provided not proned to land slides. If geological report has been obtained fine.. Holiday makers may not want to be buried in the night

Most of these ventures fail because of the exorbitant daily charges that is worked out in US$. If the Government and the Developers have a bit of common sense it may be a success. Reasonable daily occupational charges can make it with volume of tourists. Let us be honest, does anyone really think that millionaire tourists will visit this country right now? Last Bomb blast wiped out almost the entire family of a millionaire, now there is fuel rationing, shortage of daily food, unrest in the country and the list goes on and on. If the owners of these ventures and the Government does not know how curtail their naked greed any venture is bound to be a failure.

We hope you don't destroy the nature and it's beauty by building more building in our natural environment..Birds; animals and trees have right to life like human beings ..we are bothered too much for our economy but it shouldn't be at the expense of the destruction of the nature and it's ecology

What precautions have been taken against landslides, in that area, by stabilizing the below slopes? No repeat incident please, like that house in Kandy.

Well poised on the hills for potential landslides?

They are butchering the nature in the name of tourism. Pristine ecosystem has been replaced by concrete jungle. I don't know who paid what for this project to go ahead. I'm so sad to see the pictures.

    poor quality of construction

As usual with every development project in SL, an environmental disaster. Instead of beautiful tea estate and forests on the hills, we will end up seeing hideous blocks of concrete in the future. SL is losing its natural environment very very fast. All governments are missing the trees for the woods. Tourists don’t come here to look at building and silly structures of no importance i.e., lotus tower, etc. They come here for what nature has on offer. Our fellows will never get this. Look at Fiji, Tahiti, Seychelles, Mauritius and the other islands and learn.
