A Pindapatha Charika and the offering of Dakshina Pooja to the Maha Sangha were held yesterday with the participation of 100 monks. The ceremony marked the final act of the 12-day Vesak alms drive organized by the Nawalapitiya Sri Kaweeshwara Veluwanarama Maha Viharaya.

The Pindapatha Charika was organized to cover all the main streets of Nawalapitiya town, starting from the Nawalapitiya Sri Pada Pirivena. Pix by Ranjith Rajapaksa - Hatton
