Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) and the Qatar Central Bank (QCB) today engaged in discussion to look at firming up ties between the financial industries of the two countries.
CBSL Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal who is currently in Qatar, met with QCB Governor Sheikh Al-Thani to explore several avenues to strengthen economic relationships, including the possibility of collaborations.
Qatar News Agency tweeted that the two governors reviewed existing bilateral relations in the financial and banking field and ways to enhance them.
Governor Cabraal confirmed the same as he tweeted that a “fruitful” discussion was held with Sheikh Al-Thani, where talks were carried out on CBSL and QCB collaborations, post Covid-19 revival measures and strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
