H-Connect International, a fully-owned subsidiary of The Hirdaramani Group and a leading provider of global business process management (BPM) services, announced the appointment of Deshaka Perera as Chief Operating Officer.
Perera brings over 18 years of experience to H-Connect International. Prior to joining H-Connect International, Perera severed WNS Global Services, where he helped large multi-national companies transition their back-office functions to Sri Lanka and India.
“We are extremely happy to have Deshaka join the H-Connect International team,” said H-Connect CEO Dilush Perera.
“Deshaka brings a wealth of BPM experience to our company and a track record of success across industry verticals and geographies. We believe he is an excellent fit for our company and look forward to his contributions.”
Perera has gained valuable strategic management and hands-on operational experience in leading, establishing and managing shared service centres, large-scale transformation programmes, business process transitions and business process re-engineering across multiple industries and multi-national companies. In the most recent past he was instrumental in developing an IFRS17 shared services operating model for a large insurance company based out of the UK.
Academically, Perera holds a Bachelor of Business Degree majoring in business and finance and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Bedfordshire. He is also a fellow of the Chartered Management Institute UK.
Perera in his new role as Chief Operating Officer for H-Connect International Sri Lanka is confident of executing on the company’s business strategy and driving the overall growth and performance of key business units and horizontal practices.
