Health Minister Rajitha Senaratne today said the Government had put up screening facilities for the Zika virus at the Bandaranaike International Airport and instructed the airport officials to be alert on the virus.

Speaking at the Cabinet briefing, the Minister said special attention would be paid on those visiting the country from Latin American and African countries.

“However, no incident of Zika virus had been reported so far in Asian countries,” he said.
