Law of the land is buried with Political power and Money . Nothing will come right with a corrupt administration
saudmohammed Tuesday, 13 August 2013 05:40 AM
His Excellency President is advising the people not to take the law into their hands. Actually the people staged a protest for a couple of days. What did he as the head of the Govt. do. His brother, the Defence Secretary as advised by the Bodhu Bala Sena, got the Army to come and shoot at the innocent people for asking safe drinking water. .Don't try to put the blame on the protesters. You will not blame the army because you don't want to hurt them because you want them to help you in the future too when people get onto the street when the cost of living escalates because of your mismanagement of the economy.
saudmohammed Tuesday, 13 August 2013 05:43 AM
I hope the comment I made just now will be published. Do not be selective. You must publish comments against the Government also. You are supposed to convey the sentiments of every citizen.
Richard Tuesday, 13 August 2013 06:06 AM
What's the use of ministers, public servants, eh? Our Presidents sits one morning and solves the issue and also decides then and there what the future law on setting up factories, etc. If people do not have water to drink, what action does he say they should take rather than peaceful demonstration? Gosh, isn't he sooo clever?
Citizens want to know who ordered the army in and gave orders to shoot to kill and what punishment is going to be meted out to them under the country's legal system or 'Kekille system.
why not Tuesday, 13 August 2013 06:10 AM
I think he is the worst most corrupt leader of a third world under development low income country.
C.Seneveratne Tuesday, 13 August 2013 04:39 AM
Waited until 3 deaths and over 40 injured to relocate.
The army brutality must be investigated.

Tamil Nadu is the best place and Karunanithi is the best manager for that factory.
Amir Tuesday, 13 August 2013 01:34 PM
at least 3 lives late...
PRASANNAJIT Tuesday, 13 August 2013 03:11 AM
Worth voting for what. Late decision making. Ultimately what happens is nobody at fault. Final conclusion is factory is given the nod to go ahead. Not even suspending operation until a report comes out.
croc Monday, 12 August 2013 03:08 PM
It is a wise decision, although it is too late.
Wijesinghe Monday, 12 August 2013 03:11 PM
its Worth voting MR, he is the best leader in SL history. simply best.
Ratavasiya Monday, 12 August 2013 03:42 PM
Only a proper election under Election Commision under a caretaker government can prove this.
Samantha Monday, 12 August 2013 04:06 PM
Right on cue and according to the master script ...
Unfortunately, if this was done on July 31st three people would be living today and countless others will be free of suffering.
ANTON Monday, 12 August 2013 04:15 PM
BRAINS OF THE AUTHORITIES CONCERNED SHOULD HAVE BEEN RELOCATED FIRST.
Spitfire Tuesday, 13 August 2013 02:41 AM
What a stupid suggestion to locate all factories within the BOI zone. how does it work? Is it any factory with his effluence or what. Location of factories should be done according to all demographics is it not?
Sapumal Bandara Tuesday, 13 August 2013 02:48 AM
The people of Rathupaswala has been proved correct and their demand for the closure of the factory is totally justifiable.
Its high time that the authorities check on all factories located island-wide, including the the FTZs, EPZs & Industrial Estates for environmental pollution.
Sapumal Bandara Tuesday, 13 August 2013 02:50 AM
The next catastrophic disaster is almost at the door step of TEMPLE TREES, Renal Failure.
Act before its too late and prove your metal, Mr President.
Kondebedapucheena Monday, 12 August 2013 03:07 PM
3 lives lost for this
saman Tuesday, 13 August 2013 03:21 AM
Dogs will always bark. Credit has to be given where it deserved. Thanks MR for resolving this issue. Yeah, let us make Ranil president! He will sell our country in no time!
dias Tuesday, 13 August 2013 03:29 AM
This factory should be in Hambanthota or Thangalle town.
nillu Tuesday, 13 August 2013 03:34 AM
is that all, so now they say ok problem solved factory is re located thats it. What about the lives lost, the questions still remains as to who ordered the troops to go there and to shoot, no punsihment for those culprits, and the owner of the factory caused all these havoc, nothing for them? good what an easy way to sort the matters.
Finally he bacame the savior and the hero

oya "proper" election kathawata Mangala monawada kiwwa neda ? Poddak eyagen ahala balanna !!!!
Dilip Tuesday, 13 August 2013 04:08 AM
why don't you do the same thing in North, move the KKS Cement factory and Paranthan Chemical factory, both bad for the enviroment and public.
ind Tuesday, 13 August 2013 04:10 AM
So you want president to interfere at the early stage of the issue ?? That is nonsense. True, the authorities not taken correct actions at the correct time. But that is not the president's job. They should have been sacked.
