Finally, RW gives ear to the majority. That's the way to go.

Ranil, now pack your bag and get ready to go home. UNP is a strong galloping horse that needs only a good jockey on board to win.

Good to hear. We need a strong opposision.
nimal Gune Monday, 19 July 2010 04:19 PM
RW has to step down as leader for there to be a meaningful change in the UNP. If not, all these changes are just meangingless. If RW has any sence of shame or self respect, he will bow to the will of the majority of the UNP and the country. The country has said they dont want RW through many different elections and now the UNP membership is openly saying that.
Ranil - Please leave with dignity.

OscarWilde Tuesday, 20 July 2010 04:50 AM
A move long overdue. Now the UNPers can breathe again!
OscarWilde Tuesday, 20 July 2010 04:52 AM
Ha ha...Just like he was fully confident of winning the last 15 or so elections UNP contested in under his leadership.

Party leadership also should be limited to two 5 year terms if he or she cannot get elected as head of state.
