Considering the part Mano played in the combined opposition and during the era of white vans in Colombo, he need to be in the Parliament than many other Tamil MPs.

This is the problem of UNP. They go behind unwanted one person and lose hundreds and thousands.

    Thursday, 29 April 2010 04:01 AM

    Mano is no where now

    Wednesday, 28 April 2010 04:02 PM

Dr.Kumaraguruparan polled more preferential votes than Mano, If Mano was so good he should request the National List for Dr.Kumaraguruparan but Mano seems selfish - he wants himself & his brother in the parliament. - Thamizhan

He cannot be trusted...keep him out of UNF or UPFA

Even with a good tamil and muslim population in kandy this man was not selected.. He had thought that he's a person who will accept by any district. Unlucky fellow.

There is nothing that Mano done for a demotion. President is considering demotions for the Wrongdoers in Nawalaptiya. it is manofaced the Wrongdoers in the very Nawalapitiya.

With just 225,000 votes, TNA has got 15 seats with a national list to represent the Tamils of the north and east. Some TNA MPs have received only about 10,000 preferential votes. It is a serious flow in the electoral system. In that case why cant Mano who got something like 30,000 votes enter Parliament to represent the Tamils in the south? - Pradeep

First Step towards a probable resurrection of the Old UNP.

    Wednesday, 28 April 2010 11:41 AM

all supporters of the DPF can be loaded into two three wheelers

    Wednesday, 28 April 2010 11:32 AM

    Keep them out

    Wednesday, 28 April 2010 11:08 AM

Tamil people do need a voice but not what the people themself had rejected. What we can see here is not that Tamil voice to represent but Mano trying to get himself into parliment at any cost

    Wednesday, 28 April 2010 10:56 AM

Ranil must not show he is a weak leader. If the president can give demotions to most of the senior SLFP members, then who is Mano to the UNP. He will only lose Prabha. UNP have a lot of educated young candidates so Mano must not think he is indispensable.

    Wednesday, 28 April 2010 10:35 AM

Thank god the people of Kandy rejected this person!

    Wednesday, 28 April 2010 10:15 AM

Well seems like Mano wasn't able to get a 'Buy 1 Get 1 Free' deal after all!

    Wednesday, 28 April 2010 10:05 AM

    Thank God for small mercies!

    Wednesday, 28 April 2010 09:59 AM

    All's well that ends well.
