No more riots in unis. The genuine students can now get on with their studies without intimidation. Keep him in jail and pass legislation banning this union in universities.
Lakmikanth Friday, 26 November 2010 08:12 PM
Let all the uni. students learn a lesson to not to waste tax money as well as their parents hard earned money.

all of dirty people are blaming him.but he sacrificed his life for the sake of next generation.
Tom Saturday, 27 November 2010 09:09 AM
I know him personally when i work with him in he UOP. he is a greatman, since he take necessary actions without hesitation in the case of Allied health science students. So there was no political action on it. Anyone who criticize him, is not a guy with the FREE EDUCATION, cos in this government minister can do anything as they wish, Why they cannot struggle for Free Education
Nationlist Friday, 26 November 2010 09:20 AM
University students will have a peaceful time till he is in the prison.

Udul, issue a press release saying that u r going to support the government, then the next day u will be released.
amkoon Friday, 26 November 2010 09:40 AM
Udul is spending years and years in university failing or not sitting the exams. Every citizen of the country should obey the rules of the country. Any body irrespective whether a student/clergyman/politician should be severely punished for breaking civil law. Especially leaders breaking laws should be punished severely.
wela Friday, 26 November 2010 09:59 AM
Every one talks about the benefit of remanding the man. But think a bit why they do strike. We, In our university time , lived from Mahapola scholar ship. But it was not enough, If IUSF didnt ask to increase it still we are getting the same amount. Its true, JVP is controlling IUSF, But they are doing most of the things for the benefit of future generation. In a country like srilanka, we do not get any benifit until a we ask, we gen only the bad things, to get some thing , we need to shout. If you blame to the university students , think about the history, Most of the ministers in SL , are past student union leaders, Today SB is punishing students , But in the past he was a leader of that. So when think about university education , before commenting about something, please try to talk to some university students, get their idea, Just dont put comments from the facts you get from the Television or radio, Just talk to students and lectureres and comment.
kamal Friday, 26 November 2010 10:06 AM
Udul why u are fighting for the rights of these foolish people in Sri Lanka. they have not learn a lesson forever. Therefore Mind your own buisness without serving these foolish people.

Don't insult all university students. Most of them are not like Udul.
farhad Friday, 26 November 2010 10:24 AM
I agree with you Sarath, this piece of dirt should be eliminated. He is a waste of space
Ryan Friday, 26 November 2010 10:41 AM
Student mopvements are really necessary for a country's progress. Accepted. But this is pure political opportunism by JVP. The issue is that these people forcibly take students for protests and does not allow free expression of thoughts inside universities. So what is the remedy for that?
