Two children aged 6 and 11died on the spot at Thalpe when they were hit by a train bound to Matara from Vavuniya this afternoon, police spokesman Prishantha Jayakody said.

He said the tragedy had occurred when the children were cycling across an unprotected railway crossing.

4 year girl died today in Nottinghamshire on a unmanned railway crossing....even in developed country we have railway crossing without gates.... as parents we have to take care of our children...all govenrment are the same either they want to make money or be in power.....
