Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Executive Committee decided at an emergency meeting yesterday to conduct an immediate inquiry into claims that members of Sri Lanka women’s cricket team management and national selectors had to be bribed sexually by Sri Lanka women’s cricketers if they were to get selected to the national team and keep their places.
These shocking allegations had been made in a local media report last week, and the exco members had felt it required immediate attention.
SLC Vice President Mohan de Silva, Secretary Nishantha Ranatunga, Assistant Secretary Hirantha Perera and chief men’s national selector Sanath Jayasuriya have been appointed to a committee to investigate the allegations.
The committee will conduct their inquiry on Thursday and will summon National selectors, Team Officials including national team Manager and Coach and also all members of the national squad to give evidence. (Channaka de Silva)

This is a very serious allegation. Interdict the officials involved immediately to prevent using their positional powers to influence the complainants/ witnesses. Appoint professional such as retired Ludjes, Lawyers, Doctors etc to inquire into this matter. If found guilty , they should never be allowed to get involved in any sport. Name and Shame them.

An independent unbiased inquiry should be conducted and those involved to be immediately removed from not only their post but shamed in public via all Media so that they will be striped naked and have no way to hide their .........Because exploiting those who represent our country in sports or any aspect no matter who should be dealt with severely and handed the harshest punishment....so that this will be an example for the rest of the perverts

The consequence of women empowerment and gender equality. Men have the fun and women left holding the baby or their reproductive health impaired. long live the UN and the broad minded Olympics committees. Now you know why KSA and many Muslim countries prevent women part taking in sports
