Saman Thursday, 06 December 2012 07:54 AM
This report is totally wrong. Sri Lanka must stay definitely in the bottom.
Please let us protest asking them to rectify it.
JayW Thursday, 06 December 2012 07:34 AM
I am very much grateful to my former HOD and his suckers and the former VC at this so called educational institute for harassing me for not being a sucker and for speaking against injustice and for behaving as a true academic without any fear to express opinions. The unbearable pain my family and I had due to this ongoing harassment enabled us to makeup our mind to leave Sri Lanka 15 years ago and settle down in this wonderful English speeking country which has come first in the Global Corruption Perceptions Index 2012. We moved from a corrupt country to a corruptless country. It is Karma.
wijebahu Thursday, 06 December 2012 06:56 AM
next one will be 100.
Imran Hussein Thursday, 06 December 2012 06:33 AM
We would be in the top 20 had it not for one family. Wow to Botswana (30) and Bhutan (at 33).
sinha Thursday, 06 December 2012 04:17 AM
Good but not enough. Perhaps there are far more worse corrupt nations than here but more can be done.
Saman Thursday, 06 December 2012 06:01 AM
According to the comments I read here, Sri Lanka should rank next to Libya!

Nice to have China as our corruption partner and neighbour in the list. What Transparency In'l has failed to detect is that the density of corruption in the State System increases proportionately around political figures and their hierarchy.
samba Thursday, 06 December 2012 05:34 AM

Bandu Thursday, 06 December 2012 05:34 AM
good is good whether the color is blue, green or red. we were 86 in 2011 and 91 in 2010. seems getting better compare to countries like India and Thailand. however, a long way to go to be at least within first 25. for that we need a complete new generation in our government
SAM_SPARROW Thursday, 06 December 2012 05:33 AM
New Zealand on top of the row. We should be proud to play cricket with them for sure.
Ryan Thursday, 06 December 2012 05:33 AM
