This is going to be a good drama. It is good to stop slaughtering animals. I too respect the same. I appeal these dramatic groups to first go and dramatize in front of mass scale farms who bread animals for the purpose of slaughtering itself. Daily they slaughter millions. Is it bad only for the sake of religion ? Is it okay for business to slaughter in millions ? Do you agree to this ?

If the govt implements a law to prohibit any kind of killing of animals in any part of Sri Lanka, I'm in for that. But also, they should ban liquor.

I think Wimal only eats lemon puff. Lemon flavour obtained from chemical sources and not from plants. Plants also have a life, so Saint Wimal will not kill plants either.

Hinduism is a religion which usually prohibits any form of killing even sacrifices....this has been created by some meat lovers to carry out sacrifices in the name of "Kali Amman..."...this is very wrong....a true Hindu will never do such a thing......

I AM ALSO A PRACTISING BUDDHIST. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE MONKS? LET THE COVIL FOLLOWERS DO THEIR OWN PUJA. IF THEY COMMIT SIN THEY WILL FACE THE CONCEQUENCES. I ADMIRE THE JUDGES DECISION

What you have understood about animal? animal means any lives other than human, you kill mosquitoes, cockroaches, snake, you kill fish to eat and etc..., don't you understand they have rights to live in this world, yes they have right, but still we are killing why? because of human comfortabilities. I hope all killed animals are to consumed by the same human for his comfortability. So it can be justified.

Do you think of animals when you order your devilled beef to go with the arrack you drink in the bar?
Lobo Tuesday, 28 August 2012 11:10 AM
You have missed the point. Its not the killing itself that should be the issue but the manner in which the animals are slaughtered. There are humane ways of doing this nowadays as practiced by civilized countries worldwide. If you don't want to eat meat thats your prerogative but don't force it down other peoples throats.
Bitter Truth Tuesday, 28 August 2012 10:48 AM
If the meat shops to be closed and made illegal, then thugs will get good food for their thuggerism, they will grow like what happens to brothels. If some one wants to stop others eating meat, it is against the nature of the human race. Who supports this kind of backward thinking, may be only 1% of world population?

Hindus' have have more right to talk about Buddhism as Load Buddha was a Hindu
Lanka Shantha Tuesday, 28 August 2012 10:38 AM
First they must close all the meat shops. Ban meat not only on Poya day everyday. Then we have the right to stop those people from killing animals.
Game Over Tuesday, 28 August 2012 10:39 AM
Will they also stop or ban the mass killing of innocent animals ?
