The main Opposition United National Party (UNP) today urged Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa to resume live telecast of parliamentary sessions.
The UNP representatives made this request at the party leaders' meeting chaired by him.
The Government suspended the live telecast after complaints by some ministers who complained to the Speaker that the live telecast of parliament proceedings would bring them into disrepute in the eyes of the viewers.
The Speaker agreed to resume live telecast subjected to some form of editing. (Kelum Bandara and Yohan Perera)

Definitely Govt Rowdies will not be very happy to show their rowdy behavior live to Public. Not only in the Parliament it should show live the other Palath Sabhas also in the TV. You will see the real rowdies in our society.

Thanks UNP. We have better things to watch parliament sessions. Yes, we may miss the new version of "vinoda samaya".
