Prince Charles will not open Uni in SL

The British High Commission in Colombo today said Prince Charles would not open the new University of Central Lancashire during his visit to Sri Lanka, as mentioned in some media reports.

The British High Commission’s statement:

The British High Commission is aware of media reports that His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales will inaugurate the new University of Central Lancashire during his upcoming visit to Colombo. The High Commission wishes to clarify that this is not, nor has it been, a part of the Prince’s programme.

    They study all cases in Sri Lanka before they say yes to something. Someone trying to score points to justify opening of Private Universities. We were better off if we were still under the rule of Britain ... if you really think of what's happening in this country
