jo joe Saturday, 14 December 2013 01:57 PM
Would it be a challenge to all the politician to do politics or be in power without creating issues with the Tamil community.
Just a thought to share

What reconciliation process has been since Nay 2009 to be helped for your sake of writing some nonsense
Ganesh Saturday, 14 December 2013 03:08 AM
Anybody who advises the country for good harmony and reconciliation is brazenly branded that they are in the pay list of diaspora This is the repeated phobia to some people to put their boot always in Tamils .
Nihal Amarasekera Saturday, 14 December 2013 02:46 AM
Government & so called international community have their own differing agendas, that's loud & clear, sound and fury!!

the bottom line is that Int' community wants to penalize the Senior defence officials and the President on war crime charges who fought against a megalomaniac.
Could any of you lived in SL for the last 30 years agree to that.
Janaki Kalansuriya Saturday, 14 December 2013 01:13 AM
Thank you Akashi San. But, once you have left the shores of our soil, the bandwagon will roll, saying "our matters, our business and we don't want foreigners telling us what to do".
This government is good at saying that some of its sons and daughters are traitors of the land when they seek international intervention, in the absence of fair-play and justice for all but the powerful. eg. Amid countries economic woes faced by the poor masses, "Night races" for the affluent (who got down state-of-the-art Cars) will go on without any form of remorse.
Even the plants on the Temple Trees' walls are Blessed unlike the poor, in this country. The irrigation system works so well to even wet the road by the side.

Good luck trying to talk sense to SL politicians.
They are on a par to stubborn mules!
Cobra Saturday, 14 December 2013 12:44 AM
You said it! They are only worried about what the Int'l Community has to say completely forgetting us Sri Lankans whom they have taken for granted. We have an axe to grind with them as well.
modaya Friday, 13 December 2013 11:59 PM
Take it mate, without sidetracking as usual with 'diaspora money'.

It is a first hard tone talk by the Japanese envoy to the GOSL

Check the essence of what he says, he is from a genuinely friendly nation to Srilanka. Hope our politico doesn't offer marriage proposal or brand him as a voice of diaspora, looks like they will take a well informed decision at the next UNHRC gathering.
jayasingha Friday, 13 December 2013 03:32 PM
The problem is that the UN has lost it"s credibility for Sri Lanka to work confidently with this organization. UN is under severe pressure from western nations to proceed with their own agendas. UN must first improve on it's credibility for any country to respect it.
Suq Madique Friday, 13 December 2013 03:14 PM
Actually we don't want sound and fury from from abroad. Instead we would welcome anyone to help in the reconciliation process.
modaya Friday, 13 December 2013 03:02 PM
This polite man has shown, for the first time, his disappointment with Sri Lanka. We are will have fewer friends at Geneva in March.
Abdul Friday, 13 December 2013 03:02 PM
We have to decide whether to loose the entire reputation Mr. Kathirgamar(Foreign Minister) built up with the international community.
Ratavasiya Friday, 13 December 2013 02:29 PM
The message is loud cand clear.
zorro Friday, 13 December 2013 02:25 PM
OH, now a friend has spoken! or is he already in the pay list of diapora?
