Parliament pays tribute to late Minister P. Chandrasekeran

Parliament paid tribute this morning to the late Minister and Up Country Peoples Front (UPF) leader P. Chandrasekeran. The body of the late Minister was placed in Parliament today where President Mahinda Rajapaksa, several Ministers, the Speaker and other dignitaries paid their last respects.

Speaking to reporters after paying his last respects, President Rajapaksa said the demise of Minister Chandrasekeran was not only a loss to the Tamil community but also the country as the late Minister made some decisive decisions during his political career.
